The White House wants to avoid a partial government shutdown and has found other ways to get the border wall President Trump is demanding, spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said Tuesday.
Sanders’ comments come four days before large portions of the federal government will begin shutting down unless Congress and Trump act first.
Trump has been demanding $5 billion from Congress for his border wall, which Democrats refuse to give.
But Sanders told Fox News Channel: “We have other ways that we can get to that $5 billion.”
“At the end of the day we don’t want to shut down the government, we want to shut down the border,” Sanders said.
Sanders said the White House was exploring other funding sources and believed it could be legally done.

The only solution is taking it from federal tax revenues. And the DEMONRATS refuse. And don't forget: they're in control of the House of Representatives, which has the purse strings.
The only answer is military earmarked dollars, and dare the Demonrats to pass legislation forbidding the military to protect the US border.

Trump was elected to do one thing: build the wall. If he fails, the 2020 election will be the blue wave predicted for this year. I will wait and see his plan.

I would think that the Presidential Secret Service detail is definitely essential personnel and wouldn’t be affected by a partial shutdown on Gov’t.

I think somehow the monies are going to be coming from all those illegals living here. They're sending back to Mexico billions each year, much of that money basically being "welfare"-type money.
They can pay for the wall over a few years.

Get these posers on record as to where they stand
(a) A new tax would have to pass the Democratic House.
(b) No matter where the money comes from, it can't be spent on the wall without a Congressional appropriation.
Congress doesn't just appropriate a sum to the "military." The defense budget is far more detailed-- $X for this weapon system, $Y for troops in Iraq, $Z for maintaining the submarine fleet, etc.
