The Windy Tucker Carlson Said He Cannot Stand Trump's Self-aggrandizement and Boasting

From an article in the Washington Post the other day:

Tucker Carlson says Trump is ‘not capable’ and hasn’t kept his promises

washingtonpost.com ^ | December 6, 2018 | Deanna Paul

*****************

Vanity:

"Carlson said he cannot stand Trump’s self-aggrandizement and boasting.'

______________________

Speaking as one who will vote for and heavily support DJT in the future, one thing must be said.

The President will have a much more difficult time winning a second term if he doesn't make some adjustments that are addressed in the quoted remark above.

His never ending BOASTING is losing him millions of votes.

To quickly change that (loss of votes) is quite simple.

Examples: 1. Instead of saying "I WON this ...." he should always say, WE won this for the country" .... 2. "TOGETHER WE created the strongest economy for our country and its people" etc., etc.

***********

I know that there are many here who respond by saying , "he has to tweet, he has to get his news out, the MSM won't". That is true, let him tweet all he wants, but the problem is simply the wording of the tweets and all his remarks concerning his accomplishments.

He must REMOVE the word "I" when talking about accomplishments. Everyone knows he's the center of the successful achievement.

If his constant boasting bothers even me, I can see how gross it is to those who have doubts about him to begin with.

(Women, as a rule, do not like men who find the need to brag after they have succeeded at something.)

If D.J.T. wants a second term he has to get rid of the word "I", and speak of his accomplishments for the country ...NOT AS "WINS" but as "achievements or successful efforts" for the good people of America.

If you are always diplomatic how do people know who the bad actors are?

I was very unhappy with Tillerson setting himself against POTUS while he was working for him. His tenure at the boy scouts has brought them to teetering on bankruptcy. Tillerson’s belief in Globalism is abominable but was his business if it were kept private. When he worked to undermine POTUS that belief was totally unacceptable.

Tillerson was indecorous in his actions, his manner and his words. Now he is setting himself up as an expert on POTUS and working to topple the administration. He needed to be neutralized. Tillerson’s actions are a form of blackmail. You will look bad if you call me out so I can work against you with immunity.

Tillerson was brought in to achieve entry into the Middle East, to introduce and give context to the major players. When that was accomplished his mission was over and his overall conduct insured that he was replaced ASAP.

I agree and I’m ready. Tucker was interesting for awhile but he is not a Conservative, he is arrogant, precious, predictable and intellectually dishonest.

I was a huge Trump Supporter. Now, not so much. I think everyone prioritizes the promises/issues Trump vowed action on if elected.

The most important to me was disengagement from Syria, and Afghanistan. The border wall would have been nice, too.

He totally lied on the ME. He has surrounded himself w/Neocons, and Zionists. I am one of, probably a handful of FReepers who are not on board with the John Bolton/Mike Pompeo/Nikki Haley/Heather Nauert/Jared Kushner/Ivanka Trump Foreign Policy Train.

Whenever I see one of Trump’s “witch Hunt” tweets, I wonder why he didn’t shut it down a long time ago, why he allowed someone like Mike Flynn to be bankrupted.

When I see one of his boastful tweets, I just feel irritated at them. It’s like he’s looking for validation from his sycophants.

"Trump can and should continue to defend himself of course, and I disagree with Tucker’s point about Trump not knowing how to get things done. However, no one really likes a braggart. It’s off putting and frankly childish, and I guarantee it’s going to needlessly cost Trump votes."

...... well said.

So the go to knee jerk is when someone who supports the President 95% of the time happens to take a stance opposite of or in this case has discomfort with “I, I, I” (a valid point might I add) that automatically makes them part of the anti Trump club, a fake, a this or a that. That my friend is hero worship and we had enough of that last election with fanatics swearing Obama walked on water, people proven to faint at his mere presence and speak in tongues!

Nightly, Tucker defends Trump's important positions against the Deep State, against illegal immigration, against voter fraud, against political correctness against Big Media and Big Tech...on and on.

BFD Tucker criticized Trump because of some stupid little thing like "I, I, I".

Very good and valid points. You are correct, we see past it but we are an extreme small group of people vs the greater voting whole

Carlson is a lightweight but he makes one good point: “We” sells better than “I”. Ronaldus Maximus knew this intuitively and used it to great advantage. Trump’s bombast is harmless, if annoying to some, but there are those who tire of it, and they vote just like the rest of us.,

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating & I believe we are not there yet.

President Trump likes to keep things murky to have room to outmaneuver the other side. He likes to appear a little off hand and off base for the same reason. He is not playing the game for brownie points but for keeps.

President Trump is balancing a lot of factions and allies or could be allies in the middle east. I think he would love to be out of Syria & Afghanistan but will not leave the region precipitously or derange the end game by setting dates we will leave or absolute goals that our enemies might use as they did Obama’s to bide their time & build up.

We are working well with a variety of Middle Eastern allies, note gas prices are low because of POTUS. I am happy to allow our President’s strategy to mature. He has done a whole lot better than any other President. I have no hard timeline.

I am happy with the judges confirmed, happy his hard work has yielded a Senate majority that will enable many more Judaical confirmations. I am thrilled that so many American have jobs, tax cuts & wage increases and that our Veterans have better, more timely care and choices. I am thrilled by the concentration on redevelopment of an American manufacturing base that will strengthen our country in peace time & in case of war.

The President is moving in a businesslike fashion to put America on stable footing with fair treaties, improved taxation, decreased regulation, and clearing out corruption and Democratic slush devices like Consumer Protection Bureau.

POTUS is fostering the concept of Government Private partnerships where the private furnishes the bulk of the $. He is partnering with industry to create pipelines from job training to jobs.

I don’t wonder at all about why he didn’t shut down the witch hunt. It would have been falling into their trap. The investigators had to discredit themselves and the outcry to shut it down needed to come from elsewhere. His complaints, and tweets have intensified as thee investigators have been shown to be corrupt & bumbling. The tweets are his form of “Tally Ho”, to get the hunt focused and paralyze the enemy. Soon they will be destroyed and he will have used the period of distraction generated by the MSM coverage of “muh Russia” to get much done behind the scenes.

Tucker Carlson is a registered Democrat and his wife is an heir to the Swanson Food fortune. She’s the niece of Senator William Fulbright, Democrat. He is an elitist.

President Trump Said ‘We’ 129 Times During Speech
A stark contrast from the previous self-centered president.

Trump’s SOTU address was consistent with his inaugural address in which he also only referred to himself three times. “We” was the unifying term he used most often then and the term he used the most last night. That’s more hope and change than Obama ever brought to the table.

We thank you, President Trump, for putting us first.

“With 24 hour, 7 days a week, media spreading lies about Trump, tucker can call it boasting, but I call it defending what all Trump does for us. No one else tells the public the good side.”

Spot on.
