FBI defies subpoena for docs on its raid on Uranium One whistleblower
American Thinker ^ | December 14, 2018 | Thomas Lifson

The Deep State now is publicly baring its fangs at us, laughing at ineffective attempts to hold it accountable for abuse and worse. I hate to be alarmist, but we have police agencies misbehaving and then destroying the evidence and refusing to cooperate with constitutional oversight functions. Just in the last couple of days, we have learned that critical form 302 records were altered months after they were first created regarding the FBI interview upon which General Michael Flynn was prosecuted. And we learned that the Special Counsel's Office of Robert Mueller scrubbed access to the text messages of Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the texting blabbermouths who revealed the D.S. "insurance policy" in the event Trump won the presidency.

And now we know that the FBI is flouting a congressional subpoena for documents that would explain why it raided the home of a whistleblower in the Uranium One case. (Readers may recall that that case, implicating Secretary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation, was prosecuted by Rod Rosenstein, then the U.S. attorney in Baltimore, and investigated by James Comey's FBI.)

Trump is at a big disadvantage trying to find decent people to head agencies. My understanding is that Christopher Wray was recommended by none other than Chris Christie. I’ve been trying to give Wray the benefit of the doubt, but in all testimony I’ve seen him give, he comes off as a slippery weasel lawyer who thinks the FBI, as an agency, is his client, not the American people.

I could imagine he might not have known this raid was in the offing, but not that he didn’t know about Grassley’s subpoena, the importance of the issue, nor that he couldn’t have turned things upside down to get at the truth behind the raid. He blew Grassley (and us) off.

“Just wait till Jan 5th or so. ... President Trump is the boss of both the FBI and the Justice Dept, maybe he can kick some ass.”

He’s been boss for almost two years. Why January 5?

You know, at one time, that would have sounded like a nut-job conspiracy theory.

Now...

We need a people’s police, one that can enforce laws against the government. We don’t have that. The government owns all law enforcement.

Question? If I were a whistleblower and I had valuable documents I would not let them lie around the house knowing how powerful the FBI and Mueller are! After what they did to trump’s lawyer and other people why in the world would you keep those documents at home?! That to me is stupidity! You knew they were going to raid your house sooner or later why not make thousands of copies and stash them somewhere and send some to relatives secretly .....nothing stops these bastards nothing!

“Since President Trump is the boss of both the FBI and the Justice Dept...”

They don’t believe that. Most of ‘our’ corrupt stasi state don’t even recognize Trump’s legitimacy as President of the United States. They all voted for hillary.

The DOJ is running a coup against the POTUS—Blackmailing & threatening him, too. Trump needs to declare martial law and go to town on these scumbags.

"Special Counsel's Office of Robert Mueller scrubbed access to the text messages of Peter Strzok and Lisa Page..."

What does "scrubbed access" mean? We read yesterday that Strzok and Page's devices were wiped by some functionary in the OIG.

Perhaps it is time for Congress to cut the purse strings of the FBI? Whoops, can’t do that as Congress is just another cog in the machine of the “Deep State”.

Jefferson said it best; “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

Why isn't Acting Atty. General Whitaker ordering FBI Director Christopher Wray to release the documents?

If the FBI is raiding people they’re supposed to protect then we ARE a police state.
*********
Per Q the raid was necessary after the whistleblowers name became public to protect against Arkanacide and possible “disappearance” of original docs in whistleblowers possession.. normally I would agree with your assessment but as the game is now underway I’ll just say “Enjoy the Show”.

Since President Trump is the boss of both the FBI and the Justice Dept, maybe he can kick some ass. Somebody needs to. This ‘getting away with it’ has gone on long enough.

Trump is playing a losing game by not acting as the head of the DOJ, FBI, CIA and is doing nothing. Trump is in real trouble.
