Just simply amazing!Perhaps you meant...

Johnson & Johnson just poured gasoline on the asbestos litigation industry. I worked at a hq of an insurance company and there was a section of the building devoted solely to asbestos claims and litigation.

I see where this is going.
Everyone who get lung cancer can now sue Johnson & Johnson.

On July 12, 2018, a Missouri jury ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay a record $4.69 billion to 22 women who alleged the companys talc-based products, including its baby powder, contain asbestos and caused them to develop ovarian cancer.

The pharma cartel is about one thing - profits.
They do not care if their drugs heal you or kill you.
Either one is as good as the other, as long as it happens slowly.

No dog in this fight as I don't use it. I just never liked talc that much. Or maybe it does not like me. Corn starch or arrowroot works much better for my needs.
But yeah I can see how, as they are both mined material, that you might get traces of one in the other. It is not like salt where you can purify it by washing.
Now are they going after the makeup companies as well? After all talc is in most makeups. Especially the cheaper ones.

Is it irrelevant and minuscule parts per billion? Most likely, especially if they actually say "trace amounts".

contain asbestos and caused them to develop ovarian cancerWould love to read the theory behind the mechanics of how asbestos is supposed to cause someone to develop ovarian cancer.

Yes. I just presumed a journalist would be sentient enough to ask that but perhaps I expect too much of the profession.
