A married mother of two and meteorologist for Fox 2 Detroit died by suicide, the station said Thursday.
Jessica Starr, 35, who lived in Novi, Michigan, is survived by her husband, Dan, and her two children, a 5-year-old son named Noah, and a 3-year-old daughter named Riley, the Springfield News-Sun reported. The station did not provide more details about her death.

Prior to her death, Starr spoke out publicly about her recovery from Lasik surgery, which she had done in October. She was out of work for several weeks and struggled with dry eye following the procedure, reported the Detroit Free Press.
Starr posted a video on her Facebook page on Nov. 13 explaining her absence. She announced that she was back at work but still in the recovery process and dealing with blurry vision.

No but I know how shell be voting from now on.
This is very sad. The only bright spot is that she did not take the children with her.
I’m not certain just how well,or badly,I’d take serious problems with my vision.
It’s called depression. It’s an illness. Untreated it kills. It almost killed me.
In Kansas City, Fox television channel WDAF lost a young jovial vibrant fellow who was their weatherman from depression. He has a wife and young daughter he delighted in and while some knew he had periodic battles with depression, few understood how bad it could play out.
No one is happy. Some are more content than others.
Stupid, selfish self centered woman.
Her life was “ruined” but no thoughts for her husband and young children. She put her children
I will never again pity these kind of people. Never more.
For some reason the holidays causes deep depression because of past failures. Divorce, etc
Failures or losses. My wife died in September and some days/nights are really difficult the past couple weeks. It gets worse when you lose hope for the future (that youll ever find anyone else, etc.) No problems with my 19 year old LASIK, though.
There had to be more bothering her than the Lasik difficulties and it could be a matter of unfortunate timing. How many people successfully weather the trash talk of the devil?
I’m sorry for your loss.
That is incredibly sad.
This kind of talk could be a good way to beckon Satan’s attack onto yourself.
You had bad results from your Lasik but did you want to kill yourself over it?
I honestly thought about suing the guy later, but could not find a lawyer willing to take the case.
Amen. The nursing home should control their WIFI better, dont ya think?
How true. My sincere condolences.

Also, it was PRK, not LASIK. Different procedures. The Doctor who did the 2nd surgery (which partially cured me) told me that LASIK would have been a better initial choice for me.
