As Sesame Street gives one of its Muppets a new story, the childrens show continues to confront important issues with viewers.
Lily, a previously introduced character, has become the first homeless puppet on the program in an effort to raise awareness of childhood homelessness. In a heartbreaking moment from a series of online videos, her schoolmates make their way out, but Lily hesitates.
I miss our apartment and now we dont have our own place to live, she says. And sometimes I wonder if well ever have our own home again. With help from her friends, she learns that home is where the love is and those who love her will always be there to take care of her.

Does the homeless Muppet slap people in the face and throw people into oncoming traffic
I thought Oscar was homeless, unless a garbage can can be considered a home.

Leftist propaganda/indoctrination is constant and relentless.
Hitler and Stalin and Mao would be envious.
Does the homeless muppet hold a cardboard sign that says, anything helps, God bless?
You know....to create awareness....
No but I bet it poops in the street and leaves used needles lying around.
There. Fixed it.
Seems like a bum to me.
I want a gun rights muppet to raise awareness.
Really REALLY need to start co-opting these techniques.
Or maybe we need a muppet thats suffered child abuse from a sexual predator? Too soon?
His trash can could be compared to Snoopy’s dog House or Dr Who TARDIS. Much larger in size.
Oscar has a pet elephant in there!
Then comes the obese muppet, the bully muppet and his victim, muppets of every gender, muppets of every religion (plus the hijab muppet, but omitting the Christian muppet), the orphan muppet, the climate change muppet, the entitlement muppet, the gender-question muppet (as if that’s a problem with muppets anyway), the anti-fascist muppet (replete with garb), the “shout down opposing ideas” muppet and, soon to come, a Trump muppet in effigy.
Let’s throw in the horny muppets who expose kids to sex while we’re at it.

Homelessness is only a problem when we have a Republican President.
Its the politics, stupid.
The Muppet portrays a homeless child, not an adult. A child can’t do anything about how the parents are living. They should portray an adult who doesn’t want to go into a shelter because he can’t get drunk in there. A tad more realistic.
Saw a lady in Nashville last weekend. Her sign read “Too proud to steal and too ugly to prostitute”
How can this be? Sesame Street makes billions.
Democrats have NOT licked homelessness. Film at 11.
She should have added: “Too lazy to get a real job”
