Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin was chock full of wishful thinking about President Donald Trump conveniently fulfilling the ongoing liberal fantasy about his exit from office on the December 11 Morning Joe. Somehow Goodwin envisioned Trump doing the Democrats the favor of sparing them from having to go through an incredibly lame impeachment (Limpeachment?) based on civil FEC campaign violations (which were vastly exceeded by the 2012 Obama campaign and payments to women which the FEC dropped regarding charges against John Edwards.
Goodwin's scenario involved a Trump so lacking in joy that he would look for an honorable way out of the Oval Office via resignation. Of course, this would spare the Democrats from having to embarrass themselves from impeaching Trump for the lamest of reasons which in Goodwin's fantasy he would be happy to oblige.

Doris Kearns Goodwin is *not* a historian. She is a “history writer”. Like “Bill Nye the science guy”, who only has a BS in mechanical engineering, and is *not* a scientist, the two of them should not be confused with professionals.

The bottom line is that DKG is a “hanger-on” of the Democrats, and so her history writings do not conform to the rules of legitimate historical research.
Any more than Al Gore is a climate scientist who invented the Internet.
Old Doris did yeoman’s work down in the trenches at LBJ’s bedside at the Texas ranch doing those exhausting one-on-one “interviews” with Daddy Long Ears hisself! She fully deserved all the awards coming her way for the tireless hours she put in.

I love how he paraded the media in to get a first hand look at Pelosi and Schumer as they showed their inability to do anything but obstruct....especially when Pelosi complained and he told her “It’s called transparency, Nancy”.....too funny for the woman who led “the most transparent Congress...ever” while hiding everything she could and made statements like “We’ll just have to pass this crap to find out what real damage it will do to the subjects we lord it over”....(or sumpin’ like dat)....
