We are former senators. The Senate has long stood in defense of democracy and must again.
"During our service in the Senate, at times we were allies and at other times opponents, but never enemies. We all took an oath swearing allegiance to the Constitution. Whatever united or divided us, we did not veer from our unwavering and shared commitment to placing our country, democracy and national interest above all else."

LOL!
You know you are over the target when you are taking FLAK!
Exactly!
Blah, blah, blah...
Mostly Dems and handful of RINOs that were hated when they were in office. Who cares what they think?
One of the greatest things to happen with the election of Donald Trump is the exposure of the uniparty that rules us. Basically they do fine however bad the economy and social conditions get. They do not want to make waves.
Amen! “served a huge chunk of their careers in the U.S. Senate with a bloated, drunken slob from Massachusetts who got away with killing a woman”
Preach on! What absolute hogwash! 7 RINOs joining liberal democrats in trying to DAA - “Destroy America Again”!
Alan Simpson (R-WY), the prime mover behind the 1986 Amnesty that led California to being the disaster that it has become.
Not a surprise to see that no borders hack in the middle of this.
Better they stood in defense of The Republic.
They’ll look great as Trumpmas decorations on the DC cherry trees...
Then it's a good thing for those d**che-nozzles that We are Constitutional Republic. Otherwise, they'd be able to p*ss away our Nation by promissing free sh*t to lazy, mooching scumbags.
I had forgotten the Nighthorse tag.
I spent 14 years in NM. Plus traveled every other week for another 2 years in CO.
Know the Turf. Both states have some beautiful places in the Mountains in the West.
Liberal propaganda like this should be ignored.
Not at all. Conservatives should be making a list and checking it twice. Should the GOP put a progressive corportist on my ballot and Trump not be in the White House I will be “voting for my wife.” Until the GOPe fear Main Street nothing will change.
All but nine are Democrats. And of the nine, some are Republicans who worked for Obama.
The list is a lot longer than nine:
‘cept that we are NOT and never have been a “democracy.” That 44 former U.S. Senators don’t understand our form of government should disturb us to our very core and they should never have been elected to ANY office in the first place.
He should have been.
But it is only democrats that can vote from the grave.
They are all equally worthless!
You need read no further than to see who signed of this letter... a collection of leftists and a few liberal RINOs. The likes of Tom Daschle “worried” about the fate of the nation..give me a break. Did any of them watch the Kavanaugh hearings and see their Democrat colleagues engage in ruthless character assassination and a line of questioning straight from the Inquisition. How many of them defended Bill Clinton’s perjury and sexual abuse of an intern?
Carrying water for the hard Left’s agenda, which in the age of Trump can be translated as “democracy” equals pro-Left, period.
All over since Trump won, the lying false claim has been that “democracy” has been threatened, when in reality it is just agendas of the Left that have been threatened, not DEMOCRACY.
>>>We all took an oath swearing allegiance to the Constitution<<<
Every one of them violated their Oath every time they walked into the Senate Chambers. They are all Traitors to the Republic and should be publicly repudiated before being Hanged on the Steps of the Capitol Building.
But hey, that’s just me.
BTW - Did Hillary sign this Treasonous Statement too?
