She can be stupid and an extreme threat because she possesses power. Mockery may be the only way she can be outed as a belligerent socialist. Saying she is going to subpoena someone for making fun of her is a powerful statement in and of itself that can and should be used against her. Unfortunately, we are suffering from a dearth of conservative media in which to put political cartoons. Sure they are being made, but they aren’t being seen.
No, she is not secretly smart, and this is not some Byzantine rope-a-dope strategy on her part. She’s dumb as a box of rocks. She’s basically a typical 20-something, the mockery does damage to her ability to be taken seriously.
