French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian says U.S. President Donald Trump should not comment on France’s domestic affairs, notably nationwide protests that began over fuel tax hikes meant to wean the nation off fossil fuels.

President Emmanuel Macron withdrew the planned increase last week in a failed bid to appease sometimes violent protesters.

Trump has tweeted twice on the issue, saying in one tweet this weekend that “the Paris agreement isn’t working out so well for Paris.”

Maybe Macron should have refrained from his stupid remarks about populism, globalism and patriotism, etc. He took a shot at Trump’s Paris Climate Accord stance and now they whine when something comes back their way.

I agree with you totally. I have no idea why we keep accepting their behavior? Do they really think we have no breaking point?

I wonder if the Libyans feel that way about France?

Jean-Yves is, at least, a French nationalist (as nationalist as any surrender monkey gets). As defense minister he peddled fighter jets and frigates to every crap hole he could find.

Keep quiet? That sounds like Trump’s cue to turn up the volume. Maybe to eleven, even.

Will Macron go down the Hugo Chavez route, blaming US president(s) for their own actions?

Macron probably won’t be as rabid as Chavez, hinting that CIA/US president ordering his assassination....
