The Trump Administration has prioritized increasing manufacturing investment in the U.S. with tax cuts and tariffs on a range of imported goods.

“MNI reports manufacturing employment in Michigan climbed 1.6 percent between February 2017 and February 2018, extending the increase in manufacturing jobs the state has seen since 2011. Currently, Michigans 13,457 manufacturers employ 719,684 people. Since the end of the recession, employment in Michigans manufacturing sector has surged at a rate unmatched by any other U.S. state, increasing by 99,547 jobs or 16 percent.”
