Now I know for certain that Barr is a bad, bad choice.

To be honest I don’t even remember him from his previous time at DOJ.

Apparently you failed to notice Graham exploding at Sen. Dick Durban and defending and supporting Cavanaugh.

Better than the others who were on the list: Chris Christie, Pam Bondie and Rudy

Yes, if limp wrist Lindsey is supporting him, then he is a bad choice.

“Now I know for certain that Barr is a bad, bad choice”

I’m sure Linda recommended Barr as one of the few who could make it through the ‘republican’ controlled senate. What an f-ing disaster.

Trump should’ve appointed a special counsel headed up by Joe DiGenova a year ago.

Such as Kavanaugh? Graham was just as intent on getting him confirmed, too.

Yep. Graham was pushing for him from the start. Not a good sign at all.

He drinks water too, and I hear he uses toilet paper.

How about we see what this guys does and dispense with the reading chicken bones style of picking nominees?

No one here has any special skill in choosing any of these people if the last guy was any indication.

From Wiki:

2016 election and Trump administration

Barr believed that then Republican candidate Donald J. Trump’s calls for investigating Hillary Clinton, the Democratic candidate for President, were not inappropriate. He told The New York Times that “there is nothing inherently wrong about a president calling for an investigation. Although an investigation shouldn’t be launched just because a president wants it, the ultimate question is whether the matter warrants investigation.”

In the same Times piece, Barr added that an investigation into the Uranium One controversy was more warranted than looking into whether Trump conspired with Russia: “To the extent it is not pursuing these matters, the department is abdicating its responsibility.”[24] Elsewhere, Barr has commented that “I don’t think all this stuff about throwing [Hillary Clinton] in jail or jumping to the conclusion that she should be prosecuted is appropriate. But I do think that there are things that should be investigated that haven’t been investigated.”[25]

Gregg Jarrett cautioned against Trump choosing Barr to replace Sessions as AG saying he is a Washington insider.

As for William Barr, yes unquestionable integrity, a fine reputation, great experience – he brings gravitas to the job but he is an establishment figure at a time that I think we need a disruptor as Attorney General,” Jarrett said, adding...

“Somebody who would vigorously go after corrupt officials at the FBI and Department of Justice who were abusing their positions of power and attempting to undermine democracy.”

Jarrett then concluded, “I’m afraid Barr is not that guy.”

“Now I know for certain that Barr is a bad, bad choice.”

So then that means your metric for a good, good choice would be for Lindsey Graham to announce he’d do everything in his power to obstruct the nomination ...

Barr is an inspired choice.

Barr is a Trump outsider. They have no legitimate reasons to oppose him.

What do you actually know about Barr? Lindsey says he will fully support trump’s intentions...until he falls back off the ledge, I’ll appreciate him....and I trust Trump to be learning from past mistakes.
