We know his counterpart (unfortunately my Senator) is downright evil and unhinged, so he might have pushed Burr into it somehow. I agree the GOP has been AWOL in most of this affair other than the House committee (which was nonetheless ineffective) and an occasional good statement from Grassley. They are very disappointing so far.
Do you think Trump was asked something and his and Flynn’s answers don’t match? So, now Flynn will swear under oath that Trump’s version is a lie?

Trump should have known not to get his kids involved in the campaign. He KNEW “they” would be coming after him with everything they have. By bringing his kids in he gave the Deep State some soft targets.
Mueller will get Don Jr. Indicted forcing Trump to “pre-pardon” him. BAM! Obstruction of Justice.
I think that is a reason to wait and see if stories match. I assume Trump was truthful but possible for Mueller to see contradictions. If something substantial I would assume sentencing would have been delayed again,
As soon as Mueller read Trump’s answers he saw the contradictions. Remember, Flynn has already agreed to dispute Trump’s answers.
The only requirement Flynn demanded was Mueller put it out in public so Mueller can’t go back on the agreement.
There’s no other reason for Mueller to not ask for jail time. Flynn has agreed to lie about Trump.
In actuality, all of "this" was caused by Trump himself. He greatly underestimated - by orders of magnitude - the breadth, reach and level of support for the deep state. Trump thought it was a relatively minor set of players, limited in scope within of certain core functions.
Wrong! In fact, the entirely of the federal and (most) state government apparatus is the policy objective of replacing and substituting the current demographic and cultural composition of the country. That's because all living institutional memory must be erased, and history altered, to prepare new generations of US citizens for greatly reduced standards of living.
Post WWII planners have anticipated and planned for this eventuality. One of the godfathers of the movement lies in state tonight in DC. The masses are to be ruled by an informed & powerful elite, comprised of both political parties, in order to share the spoils of leadership.
By completely misreading this situation, Trump walked into a trap set long before he even won the nomination, much less the election. He got the prize, but in shying away from acting as a true titan of history, he's also going to get the penalty.

LOL. And with what army is Trump going to storm the beltway and defeat a treasonous Deep State? Not going happen. This country is fat, dumb and happy right now. Normalcy bias rules the day.

Flynn DID NOT lie to Pence. He was speaking to the Russian ambassador as would be completely normal. The ambassador asked about the sanctions Obama had just imposed. Flynn told him that would have to be a conversation for another day.
He told Pence they did not discuss sanctions because they did not discuss sanctions.
Pence the deep state GOPe tool characterized saying “I cannot discuss sanctions”, as a “discussion” of sanctions.
So Mr. perfect Pence runs to Meet the Press and says he was lied to.
This was nothing but a GOPe operation to remove Flynn and it worked. Then the Pence wing flooding into the NSC, we got McMaster and others of his ilk. And THAT changed the entire direction of the Trump foreign policy back to renewed moved in Syria for regime change, for a new cold war with Russia, etc.
Removing Flynn was a mission, and Pence executed.
He’s a snake in the grass, like Bush was to Reagan.
