I already go out of my way to buy non-alcoholic gas...

Is it just not possible where I live? (Staten Island, part of NYC)?

How does one tell?

The prices are all pretty much the same at every gas station.

God a Dodge Challenger and we’ve already had the discussion and came to the conclusion that it won’t harm my car on this board.

But I just don’t like it.

I think the Department of Energy maps out areas of high population density and won't allow distribution of non-oxygenated gasoline in those areas. Dallas is one such region - you have to go up near the Oklahoma border or east to Tyler to get out of the E10 "bubble". Smaller population centers aren't as restricted.

What annoys me is the fact that there is a "recreational" ethanol-free blend (Rec90) for boats, ATVs, dirt bikes, lawn equipment, etc - non-roadgoing stuff - but it's still not available except for a few places on the continent.

Staten Island needs to secede from NYC and become just a county in NYS like many others.
