According to the Tijuana Health Department, more than one-third of those who rode the caravan from Central America are being treated for an illness. Out of the 6,000 illegal aliens who are currently in Tijuana, 2,267 of them are are ill. Diseases include respiratory infections, tuberculosis, chickenpox and other more serious conditions, Fox News reported.
The Tijuana Health Department spokesperson who spoke with Fox News confirmed that there are:
Three confirmed cases of tuberculosis.
Four cases of HIV/AIDS.
Four separate cases of chickenpox.
At least 101 have lice.
Multiple skin infections.
The department is also warning about a potential Hepatitis outbreak because the caravan riders are living in unsanitary conditions. Part of that is because thousands of the illegal aliens are being housed at the Benito Juarez Sports Complex near the San Ysidro United States-Mexico Port of Entry. The shelter is only designed to hold 1,000 people and has 35 port-a-potties for them.
"People aren't able to take showers, they sleep on the floor, nobody is cleaning the bathrooms, so the conditions are there for a major infection,' Carlos Betanzos, a coordinator for Ministerios Nazarenos de Compasión, an Evangelical aid group, told The Daily Mail. "We've had lung disease, flu, diarrhea, hypertension. One guy yesterday had chicken pox - but thankfully just one."
Betanzos said their main concern right now is the flu, which is likely to spread amongst the group because colder temperatures and rain are beginning to set in.
"The main danger is flu because it's getting colder and it's going to rain. If there is chicken pox it will be impossible to stop, it could infect thousands. f nothing changes it's a case of when, not if, there is a major outbreak of disease," Betanzos explained. "I would love to say there will not be deaths here, but it can happen because there are not enough doctors and medicine. The government was not ready for this many people."
The living conditions are unbearable, which is causing some of the caravan riders to self-deport. Around 80 self-deported on Tuesday alone. Mexican officials did deport 98 people who were involved in the border clash with Border Patrol on Sunday.
Clara Daniela, 17, and her boyfriend, Jose Hernandez, 25, fled El Salvador when Daniela's cousin was killed for not joining a gang. They brought along their one-year-old Fernando.

Well, maybe the Mexican government should pick them all up and boot them back across their southern border.
For not letting them in for THAT reason alone should earn Trump accolades from everywhere!!!!
a total of 112 does not equal 2,267!
NOooo, this can’t be!
Someone let the Catholic Church and the other enablers know.
Quarantine south of our border!!!
Declare both a national security and public health emergency.
Deny any asylum, entry until undergoing a physical screening.
We already have a spreading polio-like disease striking children and a typhus epidemic in Los Angeles.
And, shut down the federal government until the Wall is fully funded—before the RATS assume control of the House!!!
CLOSE THE BORDER! Quarantine shoot violators.
Imagine if it were Ebola.
Send them to Alyssa Milano, Ann Hathaway, and Barbara Streisand’s house and let them deal with the diseases
Nuke the site from orbit. Its the only way to be sure.
They’re just carrying diseases Americans don’t want to carry.
Import Third World
Become Third World.
So two out of three ain’t bad?
We are very sorry, but that alone should preclude them from being allowed into the US to spread their diseases.
They are being moved. All 8,800 of them. To a location 11 miles from the border.
The little girl in the tear gas video has chicken pox. There was a video of the the camp today. It was pretty disgusting there.
Thank you President Trump, for building the wall. Get it done by any means necessary! Permanently quarantine these sickies at the Mexico side, and don't let any in.
They are moving everyone to a different location. I have a video of it if anyone he wants up see it. Its indoor and outdoor. Best of all, its 11 miles from the border. You can see the border where they were earlier today and over the last couple if weeks. Theres a final count of 8,800 people.
Lots of flu and By the look of the camp earlier today drenched in rain, its just a matter of time before dysentery sets in.
Box them up and send them to Soreass’s house to live.
Well by all means, let them in then.
