Now that all of the controversial elections, recounts and re-recounts are over, let us review some of our lessons learned.
Florida is the Jaguar of vote-counting, and Im not referring to the animal or the Jacksonville NFL franchise. I mean the car. For decades, part of the charm of having a Jaguar was how often it broke down. (Thats no longer the case.) It was the kind of conspicuous consumption that economist Thorstein Veblen used to write about, with owners bragging about how much they paid for repairs.
The spectacle of sweaty election officials poring over provisional ballots 18 years after the state became infamous for such things has now cemented election incompetence into the montage of images we associate with the Sunshine State: beaches, rocket launches, Mickey Mouse and the human menagerie of freaks, weirdos, moperers, villains and perverts that fall under the omnibus internet meme Florida Man.

Two or three Florida democRAT controlled counties giving the whole state a bad name!
When was the last a republican had a miraculous “come from behind” victory after losing on election day?
If this was a random occurrence - about half the time it should happen to the republican candidates...
Maybe we’ve found Florida’s problem. Their voting machines are made by Lucas.
Has Jonah Goldberg ever commented on any of the James OKeeffe videos?
” I mean the car. For decades, part of the charm of having a Jaguar was how often it broke down.”
Before the Brits sold Jaguar to Ford in 1989, the story was that you had to have two of them just to make sure one of them would be running when you needed to go somewhere.
Yes. And, it seems, only here at FR is it ever discussed...
It is so ‘80’s to cry about double standards in the press. If Jonah hasn’t noticed, the press doesn’t even pretend any more.
What Pres. Trump should be doing in addition to building the wall is this imo. Since Congress and SCOTUS cannot change the Constitution (ahem!), Trump should be enforcing the 12th Amendment and Section 1 of the 14th Amendment (14A) which the constitutionally undefined political parties have been scandalously ignoring where federal elections are concerned.
The 12th Amendment prohibits state winner-take-all laws for electing president imo, Sec. 1 of 14A prohibiting non citizens from voting in federal elections.
In order to stop states from violating Section 1 of 14A, states need to require citizens to present citizenship / photo ID cards in order to vote, such cards scannable to facilitate Democratic ballot box officials with poor eyesight.
"Excerpted from the 12th Amendment: "The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice- President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate [emphasis added]; "
14th Amendment, Section 2. Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens [emphasis added] twenty-one years of age in such State."
Corrections, insights welcome.
Incompetence my ass. This is totally orchestrated.
Election incompetence=election fraud.
If you go out to the garage and don’t find a puddle of oil on the floor, be sure to add a quart before you leave.
Actually, it was the Lucas Electrics that were the Achilles heel of the older Jags.
The listener remarked that he thought about it for 30 minutes, then suddenly realized the loudmouth (yeah, that attorney) wasn't saying "There aren't enough votes!".
Add in the fact that PBCounty Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher boasted in front of the MSM cameras that she had personally failed to meet the machine recount deadline for PBC and then in the same breath bragged that she had filed PBC's hand recount "with one second left".
Add in the fact that Snipes had her resignation ready before submitting Broward's hand recount, rightfully fearing that either Scott or DeSantis would charge her with ballot fraud, but luck-of-the-Amish skirting charges, with the strange litigation abeyance that unfortunately accompanies lame-duck transition periods in every state.
Two or three Florida democRAT controlled counties giving the whole state a bad name! ........................... ?? What name? They just want to make it South NY Metro.
Certainly can't disagree with your assessment!
