This is why they are trying so hard to get rid of MBS. He is bringing change to the world and the powers that be do not want change. Peace Maugham be the result and they can’t have that.

But it does share key interests with liberal democracies, led by the U.S. And to advance those common interests, the Saudis are acting forthrightly to counter and defeat the jihadist ideology that the Saudis themselves once propagated.

It appears that is the case, but I find it hard to believe that these Sunni Muslim leaders suddenly became heretics to placate us infidels, especially when Islam has infiltrated our Kafir societies and has a chance of collapsing them.

I guess we have to trust but verify. - Tom

If a Saudi was killed inside the Saudi consulate office in Turkey during the Obama administration, the press wouldn’t blame Obama.

U.S., Israeli and other diplomats have been making progress with Saudi leaders for at least 27 years. At times, Israel had a few Arab allies long before then. As for the Saudis, not all Saudi leaders have been the same.

Members of Congress would best drop the Khashoggi afair. They’re opening a box that they should leave to those who been more studious and in touch with what is going on, and they might be helping to bring an existential threat to us in the U.S.A. Khashoggi was very likely to have been involved in a plan to conquer the West through “political Islam,” and he favored Iran and the New Axis too much.

Jamal Khashoggi was a no good apologist and propagandist for hard line Islam but because he was a Washington Post reporter or columnist the low down liberals get to make a huge fuss about his murder. Reporters are killed all the time in Mexico by the cartels and you hear never a peep from the chattering classes in DC.

MBS is reforming and modernizing Saudi Arabia and is putting down the fundamentalists. Which is great progress.
