Some offered to donate their ribs, others recommended cloaking her in bubble wrap.
The reactions following news that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had fractured three ribs in a fall at her office on Nov. 7 may have been made in jest, but some no doubt were rooted in real worry.
At 85, Ginsburg is the oldest member of the Supreme Court, and this months health scare left many wondering if shell really serve for five more years as promised.
But shes not the only one in recovery mode. Washington is slowly recuperating from the bitter battle over Justice Brett Kavanaughs confirmation. Another vacancy on the bench would surely lead to an explosive fight with liberals trying in vain to prevent President Trump from turning the court into a conservative stronghold with a third nominee.
The repercussions of Trump appointees are why some on the left have criticized Ginsburg and 80-year-old Justice Stephen Breyer another aging member of the courts liberal wing for not stepping down when former President Obama was in office.

I’m not wishing anyone a premature death but it would be a good thing for the country if their numbers were up soon. If too close to the next election I can see the Dems putting her on life support. Until the election is over.
Everyone needs to understand what the real argument here is about.
The objection to “Conservative” judges is that they will apply the law as written and as it exists. The preference for justices like Ginsberg, Breyer, Sotomayor and Keagan is that those “Liberal” judges will re write the law by fiat to reflect their view of who should pay, transferring the burden for the segment of the population that should be providing for their own needs to the segment of the population that has been prudent in their own financial management.
Just another version of the “who should pay” argument.
Abortion is that kind of argument with respect to which the members of the Court have agreed not to hear the argument.
The true written word provides that no person shall be killed (deprived of their life) without due process.
The legal issue is whether or when the fetus or unborn child is or becomes a legally protected “person”.
There may be daylight between the fundamental Christian (which I am) who believes the fetus becomes a person at the moment of conception from God’s point of view and the citizen who believes that there is a point, such as the day on which the sex of the unborn is determined or some other finite point in time. Point is that currently, the Court is unwilling to even talk about what the real issue is in order to avoid the need to make a decision.
My take is that RGB wanted to have HRC replace her when she won. But when that did not happen, RBG was dismayed with the results. So now she is stuck with having to wait out Trump’s presidency.
I am sure that she is praying to whomever she believes in, that Pence or another R does not win the Presidency in 2024 because there is little doubt that she would survive until 2028. It is doubtful that she will last another year let alone another 10.
That’s just the deer hunters. I didn’t include shooting sports enthusiasts, military veterans, pheasant hunters, plinkers, law enforcement, bow hunters, survivalists, duck hunters, militia, bikers, tea party, preppers, collectors, handgun competitors, dove hunters and a hundred other categories in 40+ more states.
You're a glass half full individual.
She can barely walk and talk. She won’t last another year.
Adoption of both children from Ireland is an issue I missed.
Q: Whos the most important person on RBGs medical team?
A: The taxidermist.
With all this nonsense about Ginsburg, it would be funny if Stephen Breyer leaves first.
Expect her to retire at the end of the term next summer.
Trump is going to name her replacement and Democrats are powerless to block it.
Youd have a 6-3 conservative Supreme Court and more changes are surely in store should Trump win a second term.

“Does anyone on either do anything but laugh at Justices Roberts criticism of Trump reference to Obama judges? “
I really wonder what “they” have on Roberts... “they” must really have something good.... when they need him they pull his string and he does some strange out of character things for his previous reputation and actions until Obamma Care and now attacking Trump.
Josephine Roberts is 18. Jack is 17 years old. Could the adoption story really matter at this point?
They’ll wrap her in bubble wrap and wheel her in on a dolly, ready for another session.
Since they went back 36 years on Justice Kavanaugh....Yes.
She is walking worm food. Satan himself propels this creature onward.
Not for the adopted kids, but for the Justice. Older white wealthy parents.
Two white kids within a few months. Lots of gray areas of adoption.
I thought the kids were born in Latin or South America by Irish women. We’re they fly ins?
