After years of saying he would never run for any political office, radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh is now open to the possibility, even if it’s the White House.

“I’m not flat-out saying no. I’m gonna have to reassess it at some point,” Limbaugh said in the final moments of his Wednesday broadcast when a caller urged him to seek the presidency once President Donald Trump has completed his service to the nation.

“I am deeply flattered,” Limbaugh said of the suggestion. “Before Trump … it would not have been possible.”

Limbaugh was acknowledging that Trump has pushed back so well against his political opponents, including the media, it has opened the door for a conservative such as himself to consider the idea.

Rush,as outstanding a talk host as he is,isn't even close to being qualified.DJT was,IMO,qualified for one reason (and only one reason) and that is the fact that there are two giant glass-and-steel skyscrapers in Manhattan that has his name above the front entrance.Meaning,of course,amazing success in the business world.

You say that as if it were a good thing. VP is not an assistant president, he is the political heir of the POTUS. It doesn’t increase your electability for POTUS much if at all.

Only three sitting presidents - Washington, Jackson, and Reagan - have seen their VPOTUS elected POTUS. And the Washington example doesn’t really count, since Adams was not his running mate in the pre-12^th Amendment era. And, in a sense, you have to throw in FDR - since he won a third term in his own right rather than seeing his VP win it.

Rush turned this demand into his own personal gold mine. Listening to Rush felt, to his audience, like an outlet for this demand. Meanwhile, Rush advanced the ball zero yards in thirty years.
