Only 35% of his voters shared his vision, the rest just tried to prove they weren’t racists by voting for him.

I do not believe 35% of the citizenry are cynical enough to understand Obama, or the Democrat party for that matter. To get ideological support the numbers are well less than 20%, perhaps as low as 9%. It is a constant source of interest to me that any random conversation with an Obama or Clinton supporter will result in substantial denial about their principles, practices, and philosophy. Their support is comprised primarily of people who are misled, deluded, and completely uninformed.
