A federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration from denying asylum to migrants who illegally cross into the United States, saying the policy likely violated federal law on asylum eligibility.
The judge pointedly denied the claim that the president, by fiat, could give the manner of entry added legal weight as a determinant of asylum. He reasoned that the

And, on a side note, requesting asylum doesn’t guarantee asylum. If I’m not mistaken, Sessions tightened the rules already.

Actually, how about we begin to House refugees in the courthouses? These judges want them, they can live with them. The courthouses belong to the US Government so it would be the perfect place to have them stay until their cases are adjudicated
Seriously, President Trump should appoint around 1,000 administrative judges to hear their cases. The military has JAG officers that would be perfect for this
