LOL. Obviously we have a higher share of seats that we did in GD 1978 during the 40 year winter of rat permanent majority but so what? Going that low wasn’t a possibility. The NUMBER OF SEATS lost was HIGH. Higher than the number of seats that GOP has lost in any election since ‘74. That is BAD, not “not so bad” BAD.
“Wave” near as I can means most close races break to one side, in which case it was definitely a wave, a brown wave of toilet water. Most of the losses weren’t by a lot, rat wins were shallow, and that’s good, but they were wide, and included seats that have no businesses ever going rat like OK-5 and SC-1.
