‘It is time to move on’: Brenda Snipes talks leaving elections post in Broward County

After days of enduring heavy criticism, Broward’s controversial supervisor of elections said Tuesday might not seek another term in office.

Brenda Snipes told reporters “it is time to move on” from the position she has held for 15 years as head of Broward County’s elections. Her current term runs through 2020.

“I think I have served the purpose that I came for, which is to provide a credible election product for Broward,” she said.

The decision isn’t final, she said, because she still has to talk to her family about it.

Snipes’ announcement came after a reporter asked her response to a tweet from former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, who appointed Snipes, calling for her removal from office.

“There is no question that Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes failed to comply with Florida law on multiple counts, undermining Floridians’ confidence in our electoral process,” Bush tweeted.

Snipes called the tweet “his opinion,” and said she has worked tireless since Bush picked her for the position. She has since been elected to the post four times and would be up for reelection in 2020.

If she remains in office until then, she would be supervising the presidential election in 2020, the same one in which her successor would be chosen.

“Many supervisors’ offices have various types of incidents to occur,” she said. “I don’t know why we get a bigger spotlight than some.”

She also responded to a recent baseless tweet from President Donald Trump accusing her office of “finding” votes, without any evidence to prove it.

“Well, I don’t have a treasure trove for going out digging on the beach or somewhere to find any votes,” she said. “I haven’t had the opportunity to meet him...

ACRU attorney J. Christian Adams in his closing argument said voter rolls had:

— 48 registered voters who were older than the oldest living American, including a few who topped 130 years old;

— 1,200 voters whose registrations were accepted even though they used invalid commercial addresses for their residences;

— 23 percent of voters identified as having died in 2011 who were still on the voting rolls in May 2012.

On top of that, Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes even admitted during testimony that non-citizens have registered and cast ballots in the county, Adams said.

“Resist” has been the admitted primary tactic of the left since Trump's inauguration.

That's why Snipes and Co. ultimately want a hand recount, which they will get by delaying the machine count due to “technical difficulties” and a parade of sob stories in front of a judge appointed by a Dem or RINO who will rule that the machine recount is the only way to keep the Broward voters from being disenfrenchfried, all based on the 2000 election precedent.

Then, as in 2000, hand count begins in a Dem county only, then counting rules will change, then they'll lose track and start over, then they'll find more votes, then they'll “divine” the intent of under-votes, etc.

In other words, resist resist resist.

Watch.

No. I predict they fold when they miss the arbitrary deadline.

Even if Nelson gets the 70% of the undervote it is still not enough to overcome his deficit. And I think the fraud becomes apparent if they meet the deadline.

Better for them to fail trying, and give it up.

Attorneys will want to drag it out and keep billing Bill Nelson.

Depends on where you live.

Arizona? Start a recall. Florida or DC? Gather up for protesting. Elsewhere? Print fliers and leave them around.

Take time off work if you have to.

Elsewhere in the US? Start running for office, or find people who can and throw your weight behind them.

Get involved. Be open about who and what you support. Be prepared to defend yourself.

Buckling down and hiding in our houses and trying not to be noticed is what they want us to do. And it’s the blatant exchange of liberty for temporary security.

“former Florida Governor Jeb Bush”

It was his mistake first when he bowed down to the race baiters and put her there in the first place...then Scott bowed down again when he didn’t replace her...

When are these GOP idiots going to realize that they don’t gain any votes by being nice to race baiters and they don’t lose any votes for standing their ground! How many races do you need to lose to see the light!

Well, if she gets busted for felony voter fraud, at least she’ll still get to vote. Florida voted voter amnesty for felons.

“Really?

He replaced the previous thief with her because the Florida Black Caucus screamed race ...

Try to keep up before you make a stupid statement.
