The statewide election recount in Florida is underway, with vote counting in Broward County starting Sunday morning in a room packed with attorneys, TV cameras and no shortage of tension.
Three of the state’s biggest races — Governor, U.S. Senate and Agriculture Commissioner — require a recount.
The recount of 700,000 votes in Broward ... began after a three-hour delay caused by a machine that wasn’t registering all ballots. Republican representatives asked that all machines be retested and county officials agreed.
Bill Scherer, attorney for Republican Gov. Rick Scott, [sat] before the canvassing board Sunday while election crews calibrated the machines to make sure they were in functioning order.
...Scott’s Senate campaign filed a lawsuit in Broward County Circuit court against SOE Brenda Snipes accusing her of withholding information and demanding she reveal how many ballots were left to count.

In Broward, nearly 25,000 more people voted in the governor’s race than the U.S. Senate race. Some say voters mistakenly overlooked it because of the Broward ballot design (the Senate race in the left-hand column below instructions.)
“Their only hope of overturning this election is claiming there was a machine malfunction,” Scherer said of Democratic leaders. “Those ballots are blank and there’s not a god damn thing they can do about it.”
Scherer says he too thinks voters overlooked the Senate race because of the poor design of the ballot.
“The ballot was laid out in an incompetent fashion by the incompetent supervisor of elections,” he said, referring to Snipes, ...
Cynthia Busch, chair of Broward Democratic Party, defended Snipes on Sunday, saying people were being too hard on her.....

-- for governor, Republican nominee Ron DeSantis has a 33,684-vote advantage over Democratic nominee Andrew Gillum.
-- for agriculture commissioner, Democratic nominee Nikki Fried has a 5,326-vote lead over Republican Matt Caldwell.
Hope it turns out better in Florida than it will in Arizona. Dems blatantly cheating here and the Republicans have rolled over. I guess McSally wasn’t quite enough Deep State for the Pubbies who have already sued and then walked away after being rolled by the Dems.
Machine calibration is to explain the delay in counting absentee ballots?
They can fill in the ballots while no one is looking.
We’ve never heard a liberal on tv or in person state “the ends justify the means, this is why we steal elections.”

Rick Scott’s hire is a local guy well known and assisted with Bush 2000.
Rick can afford DC heavy hitters to step in if it goes that far. Rick spent $50 million of his own on this campaign.
Too bad they are not backing McSally. But, in fairness, AZ might night be that corrupted as FL.

McSally was up by over 17,000 on Tuesday night. I have read stories that Dem volunteers walked ghetto areas (before the election...Remember, Pelosi said they had the best ground game) asking if the people had voted. If not they offered a ballot and even offered to fill it out and sign it for the homeowner/tenant. These signatures didn’t match the ones on file (for those that were registered) but were ‘cured’ by calling the home and asking ‘did you vote’. If yes, the hard core Dem Maricopa County Recorder allowed them. This is illegal. But, in the name of ‘every vote should count’ the Pubbies rolled over. This is being stolen by the Left and their non-citizen fraudulent voters.

Lawyers like to put escape clauses and loopholes in their handiwork.
So Rick is giving her an out because the ballot was “incompetent”? I voted with it and it was just fine.
Sorry, Rick (a good but weak governor), why are you doing this?
I had enough with people claiming incompetence. It is INTENT, as some woman finally corrected Hannity, which he ignored.
I think he may be surprised that the ballots WERE empty but now they are not. 12000 of them may have been pulled and someone voted them for Nelson.
Very nerve wracking to wait and see.
Yep, let's ignore the fact that a Judge ruled that the State Constitution had been violated.
It is a big mistake to think Brenda Snipes is incompetent or foolish.
She is a sly fox and knows more about the election laws, loopholes and ways to circumvent the law than all of those people put together.
She doesn't do anything by accident - she just gives the shuck and jive routine to play the role.
The ballot was intentionally designed by Snipes so it would generate under-votes (blank votes) for the senate election.
That way Snipes and her cohorts can fill in the blank and change it to a vote for the democrat.
This isn't her first rodeo - she has been in this job scamming elections for 15 years.

And those are just the times she has been caught.
She has figured out more ways to scam an election than these people can imagine and has more lives than a black cat.

So 18 yrs after the infamous “butterfly ballot” the ‘Rats in Floriduh are merely incompetent?
This is the same county that used the infamous butterfly ballots in which enough of the idiots voted for Buchanan when they meant to vote for Gore to give Florida to Bush.

I’ve designed many ballots, and I expect they were more complicated than these were. I have to believe — I would put money on it — that the printer is also involved in the corruption.
Typically, because ballots are so sensitive, i.e., not ads for Kroger’s, a printer is the sole source provider because they understand the details. If I had designed a funky ballot, the printer would’ve been on the phone in a skinny minute advising me why they wouldn’t fly.
It seems that this was a conspiracy with many tentacles.
So, the ballot isn’t common statewide with the only differences being county, city and local initiatives/questions ?
