An aide to Swalwell declined to confirm the Politico report, but noted that the three-term congressman has raised the prospect of a presidential bid in interviews and television appearances for months.

This guy must be an egomaniac. His district is in the East Bay running from Alameda county to the very tony limousine liberal suburbs in Contra Costa county.

If your ever listened to this guy you would conclude that he is an idiot. He has been an understudy to the Minority leader on the House Intelligence committee who is also an idiot.

By declaring early, he can set up a campaign fund and his local supports can start funding it. That’s all it is.

Doesn’t he know that voters won’t support a House member for President: haven’t since maybe 1844?

I think this is some of the best news we’ve heard all week. He’s an absolute nightmare, but if he’s willing to go up against hillary, then have at it. He’s an insane Leftist, anyway. He’ll have to go so far Left to be heard, it’ll comical. And, he’ll drag everyone else with him. hillary will be sounding like Pat Buchanan by the time they get to the debates.
Swalwell, Harris, Warren, Clinton, Newsome, O’Rourke, Ocasio-Cortez, Abrams, Gillum...for starters. What an All Star lineup.

Isn’t this guy related by marriage to George Soros?
To: Theodore R.
The last person whose highest office was Congressman to be elected President was James A. Garfield in 1880 (although he was senator-elect when elected). Of course he had already been a college president and a major general in the Civil War, among other things...obviously less qualified than what’s-his-name.
