I guess he figures he isn’t going to be able to push this out to eight years as he hoped, so he is going to do whatever damage he can before Trump shows him the door.
Likely he hopes that Trump will pardon anyone he accuses which he hopes will cause maximum damage to the administration.

Seeing how this play is unfolding, wouldn’t it be a scream if Mueller calls a press conference, the MSM is there, salivating, and Mueller pulls out indictments for Clinton, Holder, Lynch, etc.
