There’s a logical explanation for this. Black voters went to the polls to specifically vote for Andrew Gillum and chose not to mark their ballots for either Senate candidate.

That's not logical at all.

If anything, they showed up and voted straight Democrat all the way down the ballot.

The implications of your statement are disturbing.

Trust me. It’s completely logical. This discrepancy is what the Dems are arguing. They are saying that something must be wrong, because 20,000 more votes for Gillum were cast than for Nelson.
Lots of folks don’t mark every race on their ballot.These folks were motivated to go vote for Gillum and really could have cared less about the rest of the ballot.
