TY. Unlike Liberal/Progressives, we conservatives actually are willing to admit when we’re wrong.
Boiled, roasted or peeled and salted?
“Trump will have more latitude in the new Senate to replace cabinet officials as needed, with Flake and Corker gone, and a bigger margin.
Faster and easier appointment of cabinet officials and supreme court justices coming soon in 2019.
"Affect" is a verb
"Effect" is a noun.
.
I'm afraid that your example highlights a very common error illustrating incorrect grammar.
.
Yep. Thanks. I mis-typed. I had 1988 in mind because of Sessions.
In my opinion, the creation of SES, which has globalist ties to parallel organizations in foreign nations (such as NGO Serco in the UK), soon before Carter coerced France into accommodating the Ayatollah, resulting in the catastrophic fall of Iran, is directly or indirectly related to the prior establishment of this quasi-autonomous, quasi-secretive government within a government.
Maybe that was merely coinicidental, or maybe it helped Carter do things outside normal governmental avenues to get the globalist result he wanted.
Well, most of us are, anyway ;-)
Good on ya, mate.
It has no globalist ties to anything. It’s just an idiotic idea from the Carter era to “make civil service respond more like business”. Another moronic recommendation from the Harvard B-school. The one supremely negative thing it does do is create a sense of “oh I am so special” in the minds of the people appointed to it.
You should have read further at your own link:
Effect as a VerbEffect as a verb means to bring about. It usually shows up with nouns like change or solutions.
The protesters wanted to effect change in the corrupt government.
In other words, they wanted to bring about the effect of changemaybe by getting the government to change its policies or even step down.
So true. The fire and hate from the left is shocking.
Affect as verb: How much does this assignment affect my grade?
Affect as noun: What affect does use of ascending Melodic Minor create in this piece?
Effect as verb: How can we effect the necessary changes without disrupting production?
Effect as noun: What will be the cumulative effect of all these circumstances?
Effect - verb (used with object): to produce as an effect; bring about; accomplish; make happen:
Now that I can totally agree with.
I guess we don’t know what the real story is.
I reserved judgment for quite a while, because Trump picked him and stood by him for a long time; and in the beginning, Alabama folks here had faith in him.
But after awhile, one had to wonder why he wasn’t taking initiative on issues that really mattered.
I think Trump is the sort of person who takes people at face value and trusts them - until they prove that they can’t be relied upon. Then, he calculates his plan of action.
I understand that.
You just don’t ‘get it’, do you?

“But after awhile, one had to wonder why he wasnt taking initiative on issues that really mattered”
That was the problem.
It was maddening, frustrating and puzzling. Why won’t he engage?
I can’t pretend to understand, although I have a few pop psychological reasons.
Maybe he really is just too reserved, too timid to move boldly.
Under the current circumstances, we can’t have that.
It has ties to Serco, among others. These things are not open and direct; that is the whole point. Are you paying attention to the covert dealings of the UK with Trump officials?
The SES is much more than merely “idiotic.” Non-merit based means unqualified political apparatchiks are given authority over qualified civil servants, and can act as a firewall between any elected administration and the unelected bureaucracies: That firewall is The very definition of The Deep State.
The SES is that firewall. They are almost impossible to terminate or regulate. That is part of Trump’s problem.
Think what you like. I assure you that I will, based upon months of research and listening to interviews with former Federal employees - especially LEOs - who have seen rule of law eroded or ignored by their SES (so-called) superiors.
The SES is a leftist cancer on this Constitutional Republic.
And, it will not effect me.
Wouldn't surprise me.
With Sessions gone and Whitaker in place, Rosentein is no longer in the position to be a fire wall.
Thus he resigns.
