I wonder why more people don’t vote early when they have the opportunity? There are usually plenty of days to vote early, including on Saturday, but if you miss voting on Election Day because you must be at work and can’t wait for hours in a line, or because of an emergency or some other reason, that’s it for your chance to vote in a particular election.
Multiple locations in the Bronx and Queens that vote red are having troubles, as well.
NY doesn’t have early voting.
I never vote early. I do not even think there should be such a thing. Mail-in ballots for those overseas and military personnel, but the rest of us should vote on election day.
What happens if news breaks a week or two before the election that changes everything?
If I'm going to be in town I'll vote on election day.
I don't see how early voting is convenient or actually going to vote at the poll on election day inconveniences anyone.
In NY you get a provisional ballot if a machine breaks down. So you don’t lose your vote.
The scanners are malfunctioning because the voters never had to tear their ballot into two pieces before, and some of the voters are feeding the doubled-up ballot into the scanner.
There are people paid to watch but they are not being vigilant.
