Let's go to the polls Freepers!
Report in when you have voted.
Also add any observations or voting experiences.
Thanks all.
Voted in Northern California as well. I was there first thing in the morning, but I didn’t notice anything unusual.
Voted 1st day of early voting since I’m in GA today. Wouldn’t dare miss my privilege of voting !!!!!
Voted early in Hill Country of TX. Saw a couple leaving with their “I voted” stickers but no one was in line.
I voted at about 7:30am in Ma.
Walked right in and out in 5 min.
Marko
San Diego. Dropped my ballot last week.
Yes on 6!
No on 10!
Whole family has voted. TX.
I recall when it was exposed in the Bush/Gore election; the Florida Dems had a sophisticate program whereby they took cards showing dem candidates to be marked, along with absentee ballots to all the nursing homes and assisted living centers. They would help the patients mark the ballots. Those who couldnt they would fill out for them, any who couldnt sign made a mark and the dem signed as a witness, and then filed the ballots at the proper polling stations. They received thousands of dem votes in that manner. Remember??
My husband and I voted this morning in South Mississippi. Turnout was much brisker than normal. We both wore red.
Straight red ticket here in NW Indiana. Voted this morning.
+ Hubs and I voted by mail two weeks ago.
Sad story on the news I remember from a long ago election. GOP poll watchers saw same van coming into another precinct with same group of obviously mentally and physically challenged adults being escorted.
Next time they came up to one of the adults and asked: “Do you know why are you going into that place today?”
The man said “I’m not sure. They told me I can see my mother in there.”
Voting with the assistance of another should be monitored much more closely.
Voted absentee weeks ago.
Wife voted this morning.
Taking Mom to her polling place in 30 minutes.
Son will vote on his way home from school.
That’s it. We’re done.
Mexican vote buses.
I early voted in Troup Co, GA. Big turnout. I’m told today turn out was very big, much bigger than for most midterms.
VA 4th CD
Wife, son & I voted this AM. Larger than usual turnout for our little precinct.
I hope daughter and son in law don’t vote.
Voted by mail in CA 2 weeks ago. Left the Rat-Rat Senate race blank.
#105 and #106 straight ‘R’ at my local polling place in Wake County NC. Also voted to support the VoterID chanhges to the NC constitution. I’m expecting that to pass with a big majority.
Oddly the local McClatchy rag - News and Observer seems to have a problem with comments being unavailable on its web site. Seems to be a McClatchy problem - odd timing for a problem like that to occur...:))
Polling opened at 6:30 and ends at 19:30 today. We voted around 7:15 AM and waited in line for 30 minutes or so.
Line moved along well, but the number of folks in line remained pretty steady at about 50 - 60 people.
Question: A high school friend said his father wrote his own name for write-ins to test if the votes were properly recorded.
Do yours show up? If not, what happened to write-ins?
Done in GA!
