Never cared for Rickles form of humor either.
It’s not about the joke as much as it is that it is indicative of the smarmy derision of patriotism and the American military that we’ve seen too often from the left.
I saw Don Rickles live. He was either stereotypically general, or personally roasting either audience members or his entertainer buddies. He wouldn’t cheap shot a veteran.
