Republican Gov. Rick Scott is tied with incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson among likely voters in the race for U.S. Senate in Florida, according to a new poll.
Scott and Nelson both garner 46 percent support among likely voters, including those who have cast ballots already, according to CBS News’ Battleground Tracker Poll. The poll was fielded between October 23-26. Only six percent say they’re not sure.
Scott received approval from 63 percent of likely voters on how he handled the response to the recent hurricanes in Florida.
Scott ranked higher than Nelson on whether likely voters consider their past experience a positive thing. Forty-seven percent thought Scott’s past experience was positive, versus 43 percent for Nelson, the state’s current senior senator.
Scott benefits from Republicans reporting that they are more likely to vote than Democrats who have not already, according to CBS News.
The last poll, a statewide St. Petersburg survey, also showed close numbers, with Scott with a 0.3 percent lead over Nelson.
Forty-eight-point-six percent of likely Florida voters stated they would support Rick Scott in the general election in November, while 48.3 percent say they will support Bill Nelson.
Bill Nelson was one of 48 Democrats to vote against the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Republicans are favored to hold the Senate.

Which means this poll is more than likely a reflections of internals or else POTUS would not be going back to FLA.

Cannot trust MSM polls. 1. They routinely skew the sample size in favor of Dems. 2. They fail to reflect the economy and resultant shift in sentiment of black and Hispanic voters. 3. They do not factor Red outrage at the Senate Kavanaugh hearings/vote and the impact on turnout. 4. They do not consider the impact of the Dem contrived and Soros funded “caravan”.

The few large metropolitan areas we have are in 9 counties (some of the large cities are in more than one county). One blue county has the capitol with an adjacent blue county seemingly a residential area for state government employees. And one blue county is dedicated to the University of Gainesville.
The other 58 counties in Florida are red, red, red!
Scott will win this by 5pts. Calm down.

If the polling is showing a tie, Scott is up by a few points. Early voting is strongly GOP, even with the panhandle just now getting going.
Trump will hold two rallies in Florida this week, one In Fort Myers and the other in Pensacola. Folks...forget the polls, pollsters, pundits. Read my Lips: Rick Scott will be the next Senator from Florida and Ron DeSantis will be the next Governor of the State of Florida.
