The few large metropolitan areas we have are in 9 counties (some of the large cities are in more than one county). One blue county has the capitol with an adjacent blue county seemingly a residential area for state government employees. And one blue county is dedicated to the University of Gainesville.
The other 58 counties in Florida are red, red, red!
Dont forget that in addition to the state government, Tally has fsu. So Leon and Alachua counties are blue. Aside from Dade, Palm, and Broward counties ie Miami, the rest of the state is clearly red.
