Filipinos don’t qualify for affirmative action. If he can pass for an ethnicity which does, it could help him get a job.
I don’t think he was exactly into “jobs” or rational enough to get one, let alone hold one. Resume building wasn’t on his map.
However, he was interested in casinos, had worked as an “exotic dancer” in that environment, and possibly wanted to get in on the Indian casino business that he hoped would take off in Florida. Casino approval is on the ballot for this election, btw.
