The New York Times is under fire for a fictional account of President Trump being gunned down by a Russian assassin with a Glock belonging to his own Secret Service in a short story dubbed assassination fantasy by critics.
The Times Book Review section noted that its puts a spotlight on books and stories, but also on how the books being written and read reflect the world outside of books. Editors said that the Mueller probe and Trumps relationship with Putin is one of the biggest stories out there, therefore the paper enlisted todays most talented spy and crime novelists to dream up possible outcomes.
One of the short stories on the Times' online Book Review page - to be published in Sunday's print edition - is titled, How it Ends, by Zoe Sharp a chilling story about a drunken Russians plot to murder the president with a Makarov pistol. Sharps particular story doesnt mention Trump by name, but its no secret as the collection of stories is headlined, Five novelists imagine Trumps next chapter.
The Russian waited until they were a few steps past before he drew the gun. He sighted on the center of the presidents back, and squeezed the trigger, Sharp wrote. The Makarov misfired.

This is pathetic, the NY Slimes has reached a new low. ............................ When did they ever reach a high, that wasn’t slanted to the left? Doesn’t Trump have his own privately funded SS to watch over the Gov’t SS?
The Makarov misfired.
“But this is different”

Investigate them for the fake bombs.
Yes, indeed.
Support Free Republic, Folks!
Why consider only gunshots? Harrison Ford went through this scenario in the film “Air Force One”. His SS turned on him, going down in a blaze of glory. It’s best to know your adversaries, and Ford’s character was an intellect who was educated in many areas.
That some measly little newspaper invites such an agenda - they are scraping the bottom of the barrel, then eating the wood.
You can tell it was fiction, Makarov’s don’t “misfire”.
Nothing will happen to the nyt. In some countries, the publisher would already have been given a “trial” and the sentence carried out. The presses would have been smashed, and the editorial staff arrested.
But this is the USA, this the country that the nyt hates.
The left uses fiction to portray their wishes for the world. What the story says is their fondest wish. It also shows that the left is at the end of their rope, and is now taking desperate measures to protect their precious abortion. The left is behind the caravan and the letter bombs, just like they were behind the Kavanaugh assassination attempt.
The Left is despicable.
So here's how you can read it for free.
Create a bookmarklet that removes all of the domain cookies... like this...
Here is the magic JavaScript you need to insert in the URL field:
javascript:(function () { var cookies = document.cookie.split("; "); for (var c = 0; c < cookies.length; c++) { var d = window.location.hostname.split("."); while (d.length > 0) { var cookieBase = encodeURIComponent(cookies[c].split(";")[0].split("=")[0]) + '=; expires=Thu, 01-Jan-1970 00:00:01 GMT; domain=' + d.join('.') + ' ;path='; var p = location.pathname.split('/'); document.cookie = cookieBase + '/'; while (p.length > 0) { document.cookie = cookieBase + p.join('/'); p.pop(); }; d.shift(); } } })();
So open the article you want to read... if it says you have 1 more article you can read this month for free, click on the bookmarklet you just made and it will reset it to 4.
