Earlier I’d heard that the CNN package went by courier and the Soros mailbox package was placed there by someone other than USPS.
Soro’s package was days earlier (making the news cycle Wednesday).
Some packages were at “processing centers” (former presidents) but it is unclear if they had actually gone through the US mail.

How could all of the packages (except for Soros) all arrive at their targets (or be discovered en routes) on the same date if some were being delivered to California or elsewhere from an east coast perp?
Does it point to a network of persons working together?
Side note, the 9/11 anniversary passed a few months ago and scant coverage was given yet again to the anthrax attacks and NONE of that coverage mentions the tabloid journalist who was murdered via anthrax prior to the 9-11-1 attack. Whoever launched the anthrax attack did so in tandem with than event, it wasn’t merely “I have this anthrax and this would be a good cover to use it”. First strike was before 9-11. Subsequent strikes reference jihad. FBI was “certain” of two unassociated suspects being one (or the other) responsible.

It can be parsed two ways, but certainly the most likely way is to apply "harmless" to only the powder, rather than to apply "harmless" to the pipe bomb as well. If not, AP would have said "were harmless" instead.
I thought I saw somewhere that the explosive used was gunpowder. Probably from firecrackers I'd guess. And I'm sure there's probably at least enough packed in there to blow someone's fingernail off. :-)
And if what some people have said is true, it could be that the "detonator" isn't capable of igniting gunpowder or anything else. In which case it would be basically non functional. Still, the mere fact that it contained any amount of gunpowder at all would be all the excuse needed for the MSM to claim it was a threat to the lives of the recipients.

‘’I don’t regret setting bombs,’’ Bill Ayers said. ‘’I feel we didn’t do enough.’’ Mr. Ayers, who spent the 1970’s as a fugitive in the Weather Underground, was sitting in the kitchen of his big turn-of-the-19th-century stone house in the Hyde Park district of Chicago. The long curly locks in his Wanted poster are shorn, though he wears earrings. He still has tattooed on his neck the rainbow-and-lightning Weathermen logo that appeared on letters taking responsibility for bombings. And he still has the ebullient, ingratiating manner, the apparently intense interest in other people, that made him a charismatic figure in the radical student movement.
Now he has written a book, ‘’Fugitive Days’’ (Beacon Press, September). Mr. Ayers, who is 56, calls it a memoir, somewhat coyly perhaps, since he also says some of it is fiction. He writes that he participated in the bombings of New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, of the Capitol building in 1971, the Pentagon in 1972. But Mr. Ayers also seems to want to have it both ways, taking responsibility for daring acts in his youth, then deflecting it.
‘’Is this, then, the truth?,’’ he writes. ‘’Not exactly. Although it feels entirely honest to me.’’
...And if there were another Vietnam, he is asked, would he participate again in the Weathermen bombings?

They’ll get the sender, I just hope they expose the democrats in enough time to have an effect on the election.
If the police sources leak that they think it’s a democrat, the story will disapear by the next news cycle.
