Buchanan is right, a lot.

How has Pat Buchanan failed? He has been Right from the Beginning. This country would be in much better shape if his insurgency had knocked off George HW Bush in 1992.

I used to have great respect for Buchanan, and his opinions. Then he wrote ‘Churchill, Hitler, and The Unnecessary War.’ His arguments there in regard to WW I make sense. But his arguments in regard to WW II are - let us say - a bit odd.

For example, Buchanan says that Britain and France should not have declared war on Germany after Hitler invaded Poland. Let Hitler have Poland, free and clear. Just like Hitler took Austria, the Sudetenland, and then Czechoslovakia proper...free and clear.

Some folks say that this makes Buchanan a Hitler apologist. Maybe...

Here’s the bottom line...the invasion will continue until either we are conquered, or we summon the will to stop them and expel them, with deadly force if needed.
