Anyone watch the debate just now? That Gillum is one slimy dude. He didn't answer one direct question. I thought DeSantis did a good job. My prayer is this is the kickoff to massive advertising and a Trump blitz through our state. We CANNOT afford Gillum. He is dirty to the core.
I know a lot of ‘snowbirds there are Democrats, but I can’t believe they would vote for this guy. People have got to be lying to the pollsters ...
I saw some of it. It is beyond me how the Mayor could possibly win Governor as left wing, socialistic as he is. He would never answer the question about lobbyists buying his broadway ticket or who paid for his Costa Rica vacation. Luckily Florida has a heavily Republican legislature who could counteract much of his agenda but don’t elect him and move on.

It was cringeworthy listening to Gillum. I think DeSantis did well but he missed a couple opportunities . For instance when Gillum spoke of Disney raising minimum wage it should have been pointed out the park also raised their prices for people to enjoy , such as parking just went up. When Gillum accused DeSantis of worshipping Trump, DeSantis should have reminded everyone Gillum is up Bernie’s butt as well as Soros. Local station has Gillum is up 12 points. God help us if it’s true.
I DVRed it so I am about half way through. When Gillum was talking getting 4 billion from the federal government, I wished Desantis would have reminded floridians that the money is short term and would stop then the states have to find the money.
Snowbirds or transplants? Snowbirds should be voting in their own state. However I bet some vote both places.

Agreed. Gillum jibber jabbered and failed to answer direct questions. DeSantis won this debate. Gillum never could answer his lobbyist question and he could not deflect the fact that Tallahassee has THE highest violent crime rate in the State. He just keeps parroting that his crime rate is at a 5-year low. Fact is, it is still THE highest murder rate in the State, in a comparatively much smaller city.
