Paying $200,000 (for 4 years) earns you the right for an attendance diploma.
Without it, most colleges would go broke. One piece of paper holds extraordinary value.
And yet, I do believe BU’s paper lost 10% of its value thanks to Occasional Cortex.
And let’s not forget that AOC interned for Ted Kennedy — lots of useful “training” gained from that experience. NOTE: To accept such a position, certification in Deep River Diving is highly recommended ;- )
Degrees ain’t what they used to be. In fact, many degrees could be called fake degrees.
I do think there’s a trend toward technical and vocational training which in many cases is more valuable than a degree in some dubious subject.
