Great and yet horrible photos of Michael.....I fear that the death toll will be truly tragic.... Are there any Freepers that need help currently??

He likes to chase cars. I drove up and down the road but he did not get hit by a car.
I hope he is OK.
Authorities are now saying at least 18 deaths have been caused by Hurricane Michael across four states. Michael crashed into the Florida Panhandle on October 10 as a powerful Category 4 storm, with sustained winds of 155 mph.
...
Those are the absolute maximum sustained winds measured in a small part of the storm with high technology.
I haven’t seen any winds measured yet on land where it hit. There probably aren’t any.
I saw damage like this when I visited a friend in St Croix. It was also a cat 5 hurricane. Unbelievable damage.
Photo #11 is pretty amazing. Everything is gone except for one house, and that house has little or no damage - no shingles gone, no windows broken.
That architect and builder are going to be rich and famous.
Tyndall AFB recorded sustained winds of 150 and gusts of 175. Tyndall was just West of the eye. I would guess just East got the worst of it.
I was astonished by that one too. Whatever that construction is, that's what works and that's proof. Wow.
And they were oblivious, until the flood came and swept them all away. So will be the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.
Matthew 24:39-41
My house lost a few individual shingles and it was dry inside.Neighbors lost roofs and some even lost walls. The front of my house was undergoing restoration and one wall had Tyvek on it which was not disturbed. My Alcort sailboat in the back yard got crushed by an oak, though.
17 and counting in Bay County FL. 5 in Danville Virginia.
Where did you find that?
All I can find is that they recorded a gust of 129 before the signal was lost.
From the hurricanes I’ve been through, most of the damage was caused by trees blown by the wind such as what happened to your boat.
A cat 5 would shear pine forests like a giant scythe. Yes, indeed. It would also shear a forest of power poles. In driving around I noticed, though, that the steel roofs fared much better than shingles. That does not seem to hold for the large buildings, especially the churches. Their roofs were uniformly shredded and twisted.
Build your ‘house’ upon the Rock....
It was on one of the national networks last night. I was scanning different ones so not sure which. Probably CBS tho.

At least 4 F-22s were caught in their hangar at Tyndall AFB.
...
That’s absolutely unacceptable. Mattis still has a huge job to clean up the military.
Oh and they were interviewing the base commander.
They were being repaired and could not be flown out.
I know.
It’s still unacceptable.
