Army veterans appreciate how vital the golf course is to fly boys. So vital, that when an airbase is set up, the golf course is laid out first, and only much later is the runway built.

My room in the barracks, I had a poster that was “Embrace the Suck”.

It had four images starting with Army infantry in the mud “This sucks”, Army special forces “I wish it would suck more”, Army aviation “It sure looks like it sucks down there”, Airforce “What! The cable is out! This sucks!”

I’ve seen good officers and NCO’s railroaded out while brown nosing little back stabbers who didn’t give a rats behind about the troops under their command got promoted.

I got so disgusted of the politics that I got out.
