So what.
Does anyone here believe she will vote for the wall?
She only did what was politically expedient for her right now.
RINOS suck.
There will hopefully be viable conservative challenges in future primaries for the too many RINO squishes in the next few years.
Maybe she can change parties and become more honest about it.
She put us through hell with her BS.

It was a great speech but she seemed to think Kavanaugh will leave Roe v. Wade alone....if that’s the case, many of us will be disappointed in Kavanaugh. I understand that abortion cases are headed to the SCOTUS as we speak.

Collins is no conservative. She has voted in favor of abortion and same-sex marriage while towing a more moderate line on economics. Her speech supporting Kavanaugh and denouncing the smears against him and the distortion of his judicial record was as good as any delivered by her more conservative colleagues.

You can say what you want about Susan Collins, but on this particular day, she played it brilliantly. With her announcement that she would take the floor and tell the world her decision at 3 PM, the left and their allies in the media were giddy with excitement and anticipation. They eagerly carried her entire speech live on nationwide television. They got played. They thought the entire nation would get to witness Judge Kavanaugh's hopes for confirmation come crashing down. Instead, Susan Collins meticulously took apart the arguments against Kavanaugh and made a persuasive case for his confirmation. Think about it: Do you think the media would have given her speech any coverage at all if they had strong reason to believe she was voting "yes?" I'll bet a number of network executives were kicking themselves afterwards.

She played hard to get, and got wooed and feted for it.

She gets no applause from me.

I don’t like her but she’s with us about half the time and that’s good enough to support in the NE. She voted for Kav, and Gorsuch, and Alito. She doesn’t deserve praise or scorn.

Presuming she runs again it’s very unlikely there will be a viable primary challenger.
