The swamp serves Trump’s political purposes. Why would he drain it?
The racist, regressive fascists did a stupendous job in nearly upending what was a nearly shoe-in confirmation. The old Republican white men got caught with their pants down again.
Lots of Kabuki here. The only thing I learned (from Lindsey) is that sex change operations are apparently reversible.
For the racist, regressive fascists this was a great trial run. If conservatives had such warriors this might be an even fight.
Eric Erikson was pretty excited that Trump appointed Kavanaugh. And as it turned out, McConnell, Graham and other GOP fought with spirit against the Dems.
Net effect: the GOP is unified and the demonRATs are in retreat. Major political casualties include Cory Booker, Feinstein, and Dem credibility. Plus a bunch of corrupt lawyers are scampering like hell to get out of Dodge before the sheriff throws them in jail.
We also now know why the Dems delayed and wasted so much time crying about reading millions of Kavanaugh documents. They needed that time to hatch their plot.
Their problem was three-fold:
1. They threw all their weight on psycho Ford and her fraudulent story.
2. None of Ford's friends backed up her tall tale.
