Top Republicans tell Axios that they're seeing a surprising and widespread surge in GOP voter enthusiasm, powered largely by support for Brett Kavanaugh and his Supreme Court nomination.
What they're saying: "The Kavanaugh debate has dropped a political grenade into the middle of an electorate that had been largely locked in Democrats' favor for the past six months," said Josh Holmes, a former top aide to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
In North Dakota, one of the top races, a Fox News poll yesterday showed Republican challenger Kevin Cramer leading Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D) by 12 points (53%-41%) — up from four points last month.
"ND now appears out of reach entirely for Democrats," Holmes said.
Another stark example:
Missouri Rising Action, a super PAC backing Republican Josh Hawley, yesterday got back numbers from pollster Jim McLaughlin showing Hawley leading Sen. Claire McCaskill (D) by 52-44.
That's a huge swing from the previous poll, in June, which had McCaskill leading Hawley 46-42.

Mitch mcconnell knows how to count. It is what he does for the party. Some people count cards he counts votes. As much as I despise Mitch mcconnell he has done one h311 of a job getting judges confirmed FOR president trump. Republican Senate members have not experienced true winning in their lifetime .
Trump has been teaching them how to win And we are part of their training staff.
Not only will he be confirmed but if confirmed this experience will have created in him an irrepressible sense of vengeance that will be triggered every time a liberal cause comes before him. It will also galvanize the current conservative judges that are sitting on the federal benches already nationwide.
The democrats have no way to walk this back in 2 more years the conservatism will be so deeply embedded in the culture that they will not live to see their socialist ideaology expressed in their lifetimes.
It should come as no surprise that fighting back against Radical Democrats is popular.
It is what got Trump elected.
He was a squish before this. I think this fiasco was enough to drag him far right.

Its the OUTRAGE of the “Salem Hearings” that has awakened the 2016 Trump Voters ... and maybe a few more folks ...

True, but the repukes had no way to know whose camp the grenade would explode in. Letting her testify was an extremely stupid thing to do. The odds of Kavanaugh coming out intact were very slim. His riveting response saved his nomination and impassioned the deplorables.
IOW, they got lucky(rallying the base-vote yet to be determined) and the cost was just Kavanaugh’s reputation and the strain on his family.
