New York Times columnist and Never Trump conservative Bret Stephens felt the wrath of Twitter Thursday after he penned a column in appreciation of the president for standing up to the Democrats sly moral bullying of Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh.
For the first time since Donald Trump entered the political fray, I find myself grateful that hes in it, Mr. Stephens wrote.
Im grateful because Trump has not backed down in the face of the slipperiness, hypocrisy and dangerous standard-setting deployed by opponents of Brett Kavanaughs nomination to the Supreme Court, he continued.
Mr. Stephens even criticized his own newspapers reporting on a 1983 letter from then-student Judge Kavanaugh in which he described himself and friends as loud, obnoxious drunks.

...sly moral bullying of Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh...sly? - for fifty years 'rats have been calling those who don't agree with them racists, greedy, misogynists, homophobes and on and on even to deplorables and the dregs of society - it's been pretty obvious to those with more than half a brain in their head what's been happening.....

Stephens used to write a regular column for The Wall Street Journal and was consistently anti-Trump. The Kavanaugh hearings were so vile that they managed to unite the never-Trump wing of the GOP with Trump's wing. We've seen GW Bush whipping up Senate support and Lindsey Graham turned into a fire-breathing warrior. It's really been something to behold.
We are witnessing the death of the anti-Trump movement within the GOP as former Trump opponents like Graham come on board President Trump's winning team while others like Jeff Flake exit politics in disgrace and cowardice.

It is so bizarre to see so many people that can totally ignore the killer of the whole argument.
Her best friend said it didn't happen and Kav wasn't there.
How do they explain that?
Uh, uh, he was so angry he threw ice at someone. This shows he has so much anger that it's likely he's rape many women and maybe almost killed some??
