It could be your carrier doesn’t participate, but most major carriers do. If you just have a flip phone, you may not have gotten it.

Wife’s smart phone got it. My flip phone didn’t, even thought I get and send texts on it.

I’m a Monthly, so I’m all in. Just got my alert. It was completely painless.

I am in Southern Oregon and I didn’t get it. My friend nearby with the same phone did get it.

In the event of a national emergency, a Presidential WEA alert would be issued at the direction of the President and/or his/her designee, and activated by FEMA.

Thanks, maybe that explains it. But I get text messages from my carrier telling that my bill's been paid, so I assumed I'd get the alert, too. Guess not.

In the message on radio and TV, it did mention the phone alert test. Part of the message read/said “Many phones will get it. Others will not”. I guess yours was one of those.

We’re currently driving on I-10 in CA, about 25 miles west of Blytheville .... we got the test loud and clear on both cell phones.

I’ve got a Tracphone and it went off. I recently switched to a much better android phone where the carrier is Verizon so I expected to get an alert and I did. :-) I found out that it works well for local tornado alerts too when we had an outbreak here back in Sept. as remnants of Florence were going through the area.
