I am married to one. Going on 30 years. We made a deal early on which stated that if you make a political comment, I get to also make a comment. It’s our version of the fairness doctrine.
Her parents once made a comment to me about republicans being Nazis and I retorted “You would vote for Hitler if he had a “D” next to his name.” We didn’t talk for 10 years.

My deal like that is with food. When we live in the US we buy Chinese most of the time. When we lived in China we ate Western.
