Republicans face loss of Congress if Kavanaugh nomination fails
Washington Examiner ^ | OCTOBER 2, 2018 | Robert Donachie

Posted on 10/02/2018 1:13:27 AM PDT by familyop

"If they don’t get Kavanaugh through, I wouldn’t bother showing up for work on November 7th," David Bozell, president of the conservative group ForAmerica, told the Washington Examiner. "Most of them will be out of jobs, because of losing on November the 6th,"..."Failure to confirm Kavanaugh would be seen by a substantial portion of the Republican base as a betrayal of the party's promise to appoint strong, proven conservatives to the Supreme Court, and would certainly hurt turnout among those voters in November's midterms," said Michael Steel, a managing director at Hamilton Place Strategies...Trump is standing by Kavanaugh and insists he is not considering a replacement for the nominee. He told reporters Saturday that he doesn't "need a backup plan."

As much as I can’t stand spineless Republicans, these progressive democrats concern me greatly. These lying and disingenuous democrats can not take over on any level. If they do, we’ll be in for a civil war as these people are completely evil and crazy.

If Kavanaugh withdraws or loses the vote, we can still campaign on building The Wall and ending ObamaCare.

I can’t wait to go to the polls and vote for Republicans this November. No matter what anyone here thinks of the Republicans, the alternative is more of the Democrats’ temper tantrums and impeachment.

Trump is a fighter and if Kavanaugh is rejected he will whip up voters all the more. When Senate is increased renominates Kavanaugh and done deal.
Punish RINO’s and Rats and not Trump.

“I believe Flake and Murkowski will vote no. If Manchin doesn’t flip, it’s over for Kavanaugh, the Republican House and Trump’s agenda for the next 2 years.”

Because of two senators....let’s f*ck ourselves over for 2 years?

Can any of you that agree with this idiocy tell me what the hell that will accomplish?

Please no one tell me that the left have a monopoly on retards. Conservatism has our own Ft. Knox.

Absolutely the anger unleashed by the Democrats repugnant behavior will just as quickly turn on the republicans if they fail to confirm Kavanaugh.

"Republicans face loss of Congress and our Constitutional Republic if Kavanaugh nomination fails"

Well, maybe. We should all vote for every Republican we can in November, but if Congress goes over to the Rat dark side, there will be a serious reassessment of the usefulness of the ballot box and what other alternatives are available.

Here’s the deal. If he fails to be appointed, there is a waiting list of just as if not more qualified people to be nominated next. Sure, there will be push back for the next nominee, but it may be harder to get it to stick.

This will motivate GOP voters regardless of the outcome.

So let me get this straight. Flake, Murkowski and Collins HATE Trump. They would love nothing better than for the democrats to win so that they can blame Trump and use it as a wedge issue to support a primary opponent.

So I am going to reward them by giving them EXACTLY what they want by staying home? Sorry, it isn’t happening.

“Republicans face loss of Congress if Kavanaugh nomination fails”

Disagree with the author. The Republican base is well aware of the nature of the enemy. Trump supporters will stampede to the polls to support pro Trumpers.Folks are pissed at the way the RAT scum has destroyed Judge Kavanaugh, enough is enough.

There is no way in heck that I will stay home on Election Day and surrender to Democrats. That would be cutting off my nose to spite my face.

Democracy is a simple math problem.

In the USA, white Conservatives consistently have the highest voter turn out.

But our advantage shrinks every year.

A majority of the people who die each year are white Republicans.

A majority of the new 18 year old voters are non-white, and they vote 80% Democrat.

Young white voters vote like their parents - 50% to 55% Republican - but a large share goes Third Party.

Since Trump got elected, we have 1.5 million new Naturalized citizens - they vote 80% Democrat.

Adult Hispanics and Asians vote about 65% Democrat. Blacks vote about 90% Democrat.

Bottom Line....

If the Democrats get their voters to polls, we will lose the House and the Senate.

If Republicans turn out in exceptionally high numbers, we can hold Congress, but just barely.

2020 will be the turning point. Win or lose, Trump will be the last Republican president, and the Senate majority will turn Democrat.

After the 2022 Congressional Redistricting, the House will be gone, too.

Political Epitaph for the Republican Party....

This is the democrats wishfully thinking out loud - that the republicans will fail to find their spine and skewer their voters’ enthusiasm.

The way to get rid of RINOs is in the primary process. After that, it’s too late. Always vote straight Republican. Yes, Democrats are that bad.

As people age, regardless of individual background, you do go conservative. As the saying goes: "If you 20 and is not liberal, you have no ❤ heart. If you are 40 and not conservative, then you have no brain."

I think you are correct on Flake and Murkowski and I would add Collins, and even Corker to your list meaning McConnell will not even schedule a full Senate vote on Kavanaugh.

The end result will be our base being demoralized and the DemonRats emboldened, meaning an end to at least the MAGA agenda.

Also keep in mind that the current angst over Kavanaugh is really not about the judge, it is a battle to embarrass Trump and remove him office.

Your scenario is a possibility. Demographics is destiny as Mark Steyn says.

But you left out the shooting parts.
