What would happen if the accusers when interviewed change or add things to the original accusations like more details or witnesses that they just remembered?
The accusers are already on record so they put themselves at jeopardy by changing their story. Looks like lieing to investigators.
I am coming to the conclusion that for high profile nominations, maybe it should just become standard practice to do an investigation up date prior to the hearings and cut this argument off for all future situations like this. For us it kills the lefts argument, for dems it’s probably a problem as their candidates tend to have less than stellar backgrounds. It might help the process and put light on dirty actors in both parties.
