The committee voted to refer the matter to the floor (good!) but delay the floor vote for one week for “another investigation” (real bad!).

Uhhm, someone might want to tell Flake that the Judiciary committee can't "order" the full Senate to delay anything. Once they advance it to the floor, it's totally out of their hands. Grassley just might have pulled a quick one on Flake to get him to advance the nomination to the floor.

Flake knows that. He is essentially saying, "this is what it's going to take to get my vote on the floor." He is assuming, probably correctly, that they don't have the votes without him.
